AUSTIN – Associated Republicans of Texas (ART) partnered with Speaker Dade Phelan today to support the re-election of Rep. Ryan Guillen (R-Rio Grande City) to House District 31.
ART is contributing $50,000 to Rep. Guillen’s campaign, and Speaker Phelan is matching ART’s contribution for a combined total of $100,000.
“Last year, I was proud to welcome Ryan Guillen to the Republican Party, and he has my firm commitment of support in his race for re-election to House District 31,” said Speaker Dade Phelan. “Ryan fights for limited government, economic prosperity, faith, and family. He is led by conservative principles which reflect the values of South Texas. His work in the Texas House is paramount, and we must ensure he returns to continue that work.”
“Representative Guillen has a long conservative voting record and represents the values of his constituents,” said ART Vice President Aaron De Leon. “Guillen has been a staunch supporter of stronger border security, law enforcement and ensuring small businesses in his district thrive. Associated Republicans of Texas is proud to support Guillen for his re-election and ensure South Texas turns red in 2022.”
