The importance of the May 28th Runoff election cannot be overstated. Dade Phelan is the MOST conservative Speaker of the House in Texas history, and he is the first Southeast Texan to serve in top state leadership.

All of this is at risk. Outside groups and West Texas billionaires are trying to steal the Speakership from Southeast Texas and install their puppet candidate in the Legislature.
